The 15th arrondissement
Home to over 240,000 residents, the 15th arrondissement is the main residential district of Paris. The area stretches from the Eiffel Tower to the southern border of Paris, comprising luxury apartments, penthouses, close-knit communities, and the like. If you want to move to the French capital with your family, this is the best place for you to settle down.
What makes the 15th arrondissement such a family-friendly place? For one thing, it's home to a good number of green spaces. There's Jardin Atlantique, Parc André Citroën, Parc Georges Brassens, and even Promenade de la Petite Ceinture, a former railway track-turned-pedestrian path. These aren't the biggest nor the most popular parks in Paris, sure, but they're good enough for a fun day under the sun. You'll see many locals hanging out here in their free time, enjoying picnics, playing games, kids running around, and more.
It's also worth noting that there are a few busy areas in the district too. Just because the 15th arrondissement is among the more peaceful parts of Paris, it doesn't mean that there's no hustle and bustle here. The area's markets alone are pretty busy. If you need to go shop for food and other necessities, just head on over to either the Grenelle Market on Rue Commerce or the market on Rue Saint-Charles. You'll find all kinds of things in these places, ranging from delicious food items to fascinating knick-knacks.
In terms of location, the 15th arrondissement borders with the 6th arrondissement, the 7th arrondissement, the 14th arrondissement, and the 16th arrondissement.
Transport
If there's one thing you don't have to worry about in the 15th arrondissement, it's public transport. The metro lines 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 13 run this district. Not to mention the Réseau Express Régional (RER) lines B and C as well.
The RER B travels to Versailles and Roissy Charles De Gaulle Airport.
The RER C travels to Versailles and Orly Airport.
Moreover, Gare Montparnasse is also located here. Though most of the Montparnasse neighborhood is in the 14th arrondissement, this prominent terminal is actually in the 15th instead. And it's a fairly important train station since the lines that run here go to various cities and even countries. They include Brittany (Lorient), Normandy, Spain (San Sebastian, Madrid, Irun), Portugal, Pays de la Loire (La Baule, Nantes, Angers, Laval, Saint-Nazaire, Pornic), Centre Val-de-Loire, Occitanie (Toulouse, Montauban, Tarbes), Nouvelle-Aquitaine (Dax, Poitiers, Futuroscope, Niort, La Rochelle, Arcachon, Biarritz, Pau, Hendaye), Lourdes, Chartres, Bordeaux, St-Malo, Mont Saint-Michel, Le Mans, Tours, Rennes, Agen, and Beauvois.
Schools
As far as prestigious schools are concerned, the world-famous Le Cordon Bleu is located in the 15th arrondissement. It's an iconic institution that taught some of the world's finest chefs. And it's not far-fetched to say that it's the most prestigious culinary school in the world.
Moreover, MODART International, EBS Paris - European Business School, EO Paris - Paris School of Osteopathy, École d'Ingénieurs, École Supérieure du Parfum, The American School of Modern Music, The ESUP Paris Business School, and the Koenig School - Bilingual Kindergarten & Music School are also in the area.

Offices
It's possible that many families are able to settle down in the 15th arrondissement since it's also where the headquarters of a few prominent companies are located. Parents who work in businesses like SFR, Bank and Acquirers International Holding SAS, Orange S.A., MACIF Insurance, Nespresso, Harmonie Mutuelle, PMU, TotalEnergies, and Just Eat are more than able to raise their kids in this district.
Real Estate
Considering the demographic in the 15th arrondissements, it's no surprise that the real estate market here is pretty strong. Families who've lived here for years and years, as well as those who are relocating to Paris, understand that this is the best place to raise their kids in the city. As such, most of the properties here are pretty expansive. Though there are a few, it's rare to find an apartment that's smaller than a two-bedroom in this district. You can also expect the real estate prices here to be on the more expensive side, especially with the common properties on offer.
